Lower cost, 2-wire, loop-powered fiber optic IR temperature pyrometers with wide temperature range from 600°C to 1800°C. For molten glass, metals, ceramics, composites, and crystal growth applications.
Fiber Optic Pyrometer for Glass Industry
The digital 1-color fiber optic pyrometers PSC-SF30NG and PSC-34NG series are specially designed for the temperature measurement of molten glass tanks, fore hearths, and feeders. The robust cast housing with flanged tabs allows for ease of installation and can be located up to 98ft (30m) from the optical lens assembly. The special stainless steel sheath fiber optic cable is rated for ambient temperatures of up to 482°F (250°C). The PSC-30/34 series of IR sensors for glass temperature measurement features many benefits including:
- Wide Temperature range from 600°C to 1800°C
- Loop-powered sensor with 4-20mA output (SF-30NG)
- Simple installation and operation
- High accuracy
- Robust air purge design for maintenance-free operation
- Digital RS485 communication (SF-34NG)
- Integrated peak picker
With simple wiring and compact design, the PSC-SF30NG and PSC-34NG are easy to intergrate into almost any pre-existing system. The units and their fixed focus optics come with a high ambient temperature rating of 500°F.
IR sensor parameters such as emissivity, sub range, response time and peak picking can be easily adjusted by the PSC Connect software.
