To detect the very smallest leaks, damage and/or control the nitrogen injection in PET bottles by, for example, screw caps that are not sealed properly or are slanting, missing or slanting sealing inserts, stress cracks or holes in the neck area (in CO2-containing, medium or non-carbonated beverages).
The sealing is felt or inspected by an internal pressure check of the bottle by means of sensor fingers that are stored in a highly sensitive sensor wheel. A “direct” measurement of the internal pressure takes place in this way and there is no mechanical strain either for the bottles or for the machine, which could lead to any abrasion or damage.
